Louisa opened a new water plant in October 2003 located at 35 Jay Lane.

 

The system consist of 2682 water tap customers throughout the

Louisa service area. The plant consist of 4 Class IV operators producing an average of

1.5 million gallons of water per day with a capacity of 3 million gallons per day.

 

The system maintains over 80 miles of lines. 

 

The plant produces water for the City of Louisa and provides

wholesale water to Big Sandy Water District.
